Shyly, Rail presented Brighteyes with a daisy shi had picked from the park hirself. The sandy-colored chakat smiled with delight and some surprise. "How lovely!" shi exclaimed, lifting a paw to grasp hir companion's. What a lovely afternoon lay before them...
It's finally done!
I'm happy to say that this is finally behind me. It took me much, much longer than it should have, mainly because I strained a tendon in my hand, which left me unable to so much as sketch without intense pain. This happened RIGHT AFTER I finished the inks and preliminary color blocking for this image. It left me super bummed and I felt crummy I had nothing to show Rail for at least a decent while.
I went to see a doctor about it--it's not Carpal Tunnel! But I played it safe and took a long break from art for a solid couple months to heal. Rail was wonderfully understanding and patient throughout the entire affair, so I made sure I pushed myself to get this done whenever I could in the past couple months after I was sure it wouldn't set me back again.
Thank you, Rail, for being the best customer I've ever had the pleasure to work with! I look forward to drawing for you if you desire to in the future :)
I plan to do more of these YCHs in the future. Let me know what you guys think!
