Anatomy
The Jithrans are a muscular race that resemble anthropomorphic versions of tigers from Earth. Their heads resemble that of a tiger; stout and rounded with rounded ears, and a muzzle with a big snout and powerful jaws.

The males have muscular, Humanoid body frames with large shoulders and thick legs and arms. The females have a more skinnier body frame but are muscular as well. They have different body types ranging from individuals who are thin and chubby.

They have Human-like legs and feet and meaty Human-like five fingered hands with an opposable thumb with sharp, black claws on their fingers and toes. Females are smaller than males, and as they are mammals, females have bigger breasts and wider hips. They also have a long tail above their buttocks.

They are covered in thick fur which is colored orange, white, cerulean, caramel, red, salmon, chocolate, rose, black, moss, fern, chartreuse, amber, veridian, vermillion, mustard, gray, or black and their skin color is usually the same as their fur color. The areas where fur doesn't grow are the front of their necks, their chests, bellies, inner thighs, the palms of their hands, and the soles of their feet. On the tops of their heads, their temples, and behind their ears, they have coarse, black dreadlock-like growths which feel like hair, the only other Otacaians to have this kind of hair feature are the Bannarai and these dreadlocks grow only to shoulder-length and need to be maintained just like their fur does.

They have small, Human-like eyes with white corneas, colored irises and black pupils which range from orange, pink, blue, green, purple, red, or yellow.

Nightmare Eyes
All Jithrans and Bannarai have the power to make their pupils glow at will. In the Collective Era, Jithrans would use this feature to instill fear into their slaves and servants to keep them in line. It is said that Opar-Han, Verreans, Golars, Dinaks, and some Tot’Kocha would become physically and emotionally anxious when the Bannarai and Jithrans would use this feature on them. Other Otacaians believed that the Jithrans and Bannarai had demonic or supernatural powers because of this feature, which in time became known as “Nightmare Eyes” this term would later be adopted by the Jithrans. Currently, the use of Nightmare Eyes towards other Otacaians is considered threatening.

Personality
Jithrans are a traditional and conservative people who value the art of combat. They are very noble, honorable, serious, taciturn, and honest to a point others see them to be irritable, pompous, snobbish, territorial, possessive, or stuck-up. They don’t really get the idea of small talk, preferring to dive headfirst into what they wish to do and have a reputation for being oblivious to jokes and conservative to displays of affection. Jithrans tend to be boisterous and proud of their people and history, especially when it comes to gender equality, but at the same time can see other races as inferior.

Domain
The Jithrans are native to Qhagzid and the surrounding islands. Qhagzid is a fractured continent with mountain ranges, grasslands, forests, serengetis, and savannahs.

Government
The main nation of the Jithrans is the Jithran Senate.

Politics
The Jithran Senate is the third most technologically advanced country in the planet, behind the Enalla Congress and the Akryan Brotherhood thanks to the technology left behind by the Pharae Order prior to their ascension into the skies. Discoveries left behind by the Pharae Order after The Fall have allowed the other Otacaians, such as the Enalla, Akryans, and Jithrans to forge their own technologies such as transportation vehicles like airships. The Senate is ran by a president, a vice president, and governors who are senators from the different cities across the Senate. These senators meet with one another occasionally to discuss matters such as war, community relations, economics and discuss new laws to pass throughout the country which is then either approved or denied by the vice president before being sent to the president for further approval or denial.

Jithran Guards
The Jithran Guards are the main military force of the Jithran Senate who act as police, tax-collectors, and frontline troops. They recruit males and females, and they wield tremendous power throughout the Senate. Joining the Jithran Guards is mandatory for all Jithran teenagers across the Senate, they must serve for only one year, after which time they can either request to be discharged or serve until retirement.

Their main goal is to maintain order throughout the Jithran Senate by any means necessary. They have very strict rules, they are not allowed to fraternize with other Otacaians or civilians or disobey orders under any circumstance. Showing kindness, respect, or mercy to those deemed criminal is considered a major violation, as is disobeying a commanding officer.

Jithran Guards are highly encouraged to take part in activities which increase their strength and combat skills, in fact, a very horrifying initiation for new young recruits is the Field Of Pain, which involves running barefoot through hot coals, crawling through razor sharp Cian Brambles, and fighting wild animals in hand to hand combat.

Those who succeed in this challenge become Jithran Guards while those who fail are dishonorably discharged, which is considered a form of dishonor to their families. It is highly encouraged for Jithran Guards to work in teams rather than individually, indeed the culture of the Jithran Guards essentially strips the individual to form the community.

Culture and Society
The Jithrans are noted for their proud militaristic culture, with emphasis on discipline, loyalty, modesty, courage, and wisdom. Contrary to the beliefs of other Otacaians, Jithran females have equal status to males, participating in the Jithran Guards, using the same weapons, being able to own land, and instigate legal action against males. Divorce is practiced and accepted.

The importance of both sexes is reinforced in Jithran Culture. Males have been viewed as the protectors and defenders, females have been viewed as the thinkers, intellectuals, and more importantly the ones who give birth and continue Jithran society, hence females are celebrated as mothers and bringers of life. Both sexes are seen as essential to the survival of the Jithran race.

Jithrans are expected to show equal respect to both of their parents because they brought them into the world. With this philosophy, they have managed to avoid the rampant misogyny in other countries like the Akryan Brotherhood and Tot’Kocha Empire, a distinction which makes Jithrans feel morally superior.

The Jithrans are brought up as warriors, they enjoy hunting wild animals to test their skills and traveling to other countries to test their adventuring skills. From an early age, Jithran children are taught how to use weapons and how to fight. The Jithran Guards are the center of their society and encompass every aspect of their lives from law enforcement to engineering. They have taken great pride in their technological advancements which they use to fight their enemies, and technicians and engineers are treated with a high level of respect.

Smithing is still a major part of their culture, as it was during the Collective Era under the rule of the Pharae. If a Jithran produces high quality work, they are celebrated. Smiths are often paid very well, almost the equivalent of a technician and smiths are often called on for consultation for major political or warfare decisions. Because they produce weapons for warfare, they are viewed with admiration and respect.

Public acts of affection such as hugging, nuzzling, caressing, or kissing is seen as highly inappropriate and should be done in private. Kissing in particular is seen as a prelude to sex, even if they are kissed on the head or the cheek instead of the mouth.

When a Jithran child is born, the midwife will bathe and clean them immediately while singing to the child how they were brought into the world to experience hardship and pain, but from that hardship and pain will come immense strength and with that strength they must persevere to preserve the honor of their family.

Before The Fall, as the Jithrans had no concept of non-binary or trans people, they would refer to all Pharae with male pronouns (my lord, sir), they would also refer to all Bannarai and Enalla with female pronouns (my lady, mistress, madame), they would also refer to Dinaks with either male or female gender pronouns depending on the sound of the Dinak individuals’ voice.

Even currently Jithran Culture is very heteronormative and historically there has been no concept of non-binary or trans people. They have unique concepts of gender and what it means to be male and female. For Jithran males, things are very rigid, you are expected to be masculine. If you failed to live up to your gender role as a male, were perceived as being lazy, cowardly, or engaged in feminine activities, you are called a “pole” which is very derogatory. Jithran males are legally entitled in the Jithran Senate to challenge anyone to a death match for calling them a “pole”.

Non-heterosexuality is generally frowned upon as something “unnatural” but that does not mean there are no non-heterosexual Jithrans. Jithrans practice same-sex relationships in secret. In these secret, closeted groups, outing another is the worst form of betrayal you could ever do. If a Jithran (at least within the Jithran Senate) is discovered to by non-heterosexual, they will be given the choice of exile or to go through “The Correcting” which is a type of physical and emotional training designed to “assist” and “fix” these individuals into embracing heterosexuality, their sex, and their gender roles.

Food
The Jithrans are omnivores and eat grains, legumes, herbs, plants, game, birds, fish, small or medium land or aquatic mammals, reptiles, serpents, or amphibians. Certain foods are also restricted to certain sexes. All Jithrans occasionally drink a stimulant known as Bisynah which is made from roasting and grinding the dried seeds of the Muksa plant. Males drink Bisynah unflavored, whereas females drink it before flavoring it with Muksa flower water. But their most famous dish is Jeweled Treasure Meal with Blarma Meatballs, which is a type of pilaf composed of different small grains, seeds, berries, fruit, nuts, vegetables, and spices, all composed of different colors (hence the name "Jeweled Treasure") and served with spicy meatballs on top made from the Blarma, a mammalian creature prosperous on Qhagzid which has the same texture as lamb.

Clothing
Males usually wear an open patterned vest or an a-shirt. Females will wear bras or tube tops, some females will wear sbais, sarees, or ponchos which they will drape over their bodies, some will adorn their bras with beads. Both males and females wear harem-like patterned trousers, but females may wear a patterned mini-skirt over their trousers or a skirt instead. Their trousers and skirts will have holes for their tails to go through. Some males will wear knee-length shorts in place of trousers. Both sexes will wear sashes around their waists, above their tails, as belts. Other males will wear a robe with another slightly shorter robe over the previous ones. armbands, necklaces, chokers, headdresses, tiaras, and diadems. They will at times put rings on their tails as an accessory.

The Jithran Guards will wear plain brown a-shirts, trousers, belts, and aprons to distinguish them from the civilian population.
