Just not feeling pretty anymore....

Poem I just wrote for this.

Beauty

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But my eyes are blind to the beauty
My heart just grows colder.
I don’t believe those words they say, like it’s their duty.

Can I just feel like I can shine again?
Can I just feel like beauty is in me?
Crashing on me, breaking my inner zen.
Please, lord almighty, set me free.

Holding the confidence, though it is fake.
Darker thoughts as they enter my mind.
Holding my ground, though it will break.
Help me with the beauty I need to find.

Hold me close and don’t let go.
Or I will fall through the crack.
And this bleeding with be slow.
Portrayal in a castle while in a shack.
