I had this in mind a long time ago, I just decided get this done finally.
If you saw me on Second Life, this is the way my Crux works: emits endless amount of voltage when he's hyperactive he could even light those electron tubes up and say:

"-I don't give a FUCK!"

and of course my scarf has chess board pattern, but there wasn't any better on SLX I could obtain :P

The thing he wears is my own creation in SL too: it's a Tesla Gauntlet which was first designed in purpose of something nifty design on my Crux for a distinguishing sign from any other possible similar white Leukos Arsenikon Crux but later I figured that out it could collect his body's electricity and lead where he points to with a some slight concentration and voilá: Handheld potential sidekick weapon. =P
