Buddy had grown up in the foster system, forced between family and family. This lead to him growing up to be a lean, and slightly malnourished young man. One day, he would suddenly find himself dropped into the Hulu desert. Lost and confused, he would end up being taken in by an Orange Dragon who over the course of a year would turn the skinny  pup into a pleasently plump creator  of sweets, and now travels across Mylk with a new lease on life.
