Mylk City States & Factions

Inktail

So now we delve more into the lore of Mylk its self and discuss the various nations that have sprung up since it’s creation. Aside from a few of the toy races that are native to this world, almost all current beings living in Mylk are beings who were displaced from their own worlds of origin when Mylk was created, or descendent of such individuals. Many of them have come together to form communities and civilizations, most under the influence of one of the many gods what watch over this world. Here is a little info about them...

Republic of Neos

Originally this city state was founded by a might Leonin warrior from the world of Theros, who after happening upon what would later learn was a fountain of youth, was cursed with eternal youth. Not wanting to roll over and wallow in pity, he would instead try and help others not repeat his mistakes, and built a city styled after his homeland. He would end up being named the city’s ruler by the grateful people and earn the title “The Eternal King” though his title is more symbolic nowadays, and the actual governing is handled by a council of senators chosen by the people. It is the most diverse out of all the cities of Mylk and stands as a safe haven for those lost in this strange land.

United Tribes of Athas Glas

When many druids and nature worshipers lost in Mylk were looking for a safe haven, many chose to flee to the vast forests on the western part of the continent, forming tribes and claiming a piece for themselves. For awhile they fought and struggled for territory, but after hearing the word of the goddess Yaara, they ultimately agreed to band together for a common purpose, forming the United Tribes. Each tribe elder is a member of the “Honeyed Circle” of druid who act as the ruling body for the tribes, with the “Hivekeeper” acting as the voice for Yaara within the tribes. While peaceful in nature, the tribes will fiercely defend their home from all those who would seek it harm.

Queendom of Prettia

Imagine a young girl’s bed room, filled with frilly furnishings, pink walls, dolls and toys everywhere. Now imagine if that was an entire kingdom. That is basically Prettia in a nut shell. Ruled by the “Queen of The Pink” this is a nation that has fully embraced the childish nature of Mylk, and is well under the influence of the goddess Peony, goddess(?) of all thing cute and sissy. The residents of this land take her teachings quite seriously, to the point that those who either disrespect them or refuse to follow them will need to answer to the “Pink Inquisition”. Travelers are advised to play along, as embarrassing as it can be, as it’s better then the alternative...

Halu Sultanate

In the south eastern region of Mylk, sits a lesser continent whose surface differs greatly from the rest of the world. A vast desert with a sweet and alluring aroma, glistening with grains of pure sugar which hold the power to corrupt and entrance those who consume it unrefined. In the middle of this seemingly barren land sits and oasis that was built on the sugar trade, and is a place where gluttony and hedonism is both a sign of wealth and power. The Halu Sultanate follows the teachings of the god Truffle, and has prospered under the Maharaj dynasty which has ruled since the nation’s founding. In truth however, the dynasty it self is a illusion to hide the truth that it’s ruler is a powerful Rakshasa who has reincarnated time and time again, posing as his own descendants to keep his hold on his kingdom. There are also rumors of those who are convicted of heinous crimes being dealt with by the sultan personally, never to be seen again, and the sultan’s already large waistline appearing a bit larger the next day...

Greyton Academy

In the northern mountains, the normally colorful and vibrant landscapes of Mylk give way to a grey and dark groove, which is the home of a large institution that spans the size of a small city. Here, those who have been deemed to be “Naughty” are forced to dress in drab uniforms, and adhere to strict rules set by the educators who worship the goddess of obedience, Mallory. This is Greyton Academy, one of the most feared places in Mylk. The cultists who worship the Grey Lady wish to teach her ways to the people of Mylk, weather they be willing or not, though often the latter. Their recruiters will often target and kidnap individuals to enroll in their shcool, and slowly brainwash them into obedient students, and help spread their goddess’ influence to others. The entire campus is comprised of dormitories and other school faculties, ruled over by the Headmaster who acts as Mallory’s high priest/priestess.

City of Scraps

Deep in the Underdark, hidden away from the rest of Mylk, lies a city that is where those who spur the otherwise cheery and colorful pantheon of Mylk, and seek to fill it’s inhabitants with fright and despair, call home. The City of Scraps is home to the more “evil” races of Mylk, such as Drow, Draugr, and the corrupted toyfolk known as “The Lost” Founded by the followers of the god Dracul, god of nightmares, the people of this hidden city act quite hostile to outsiders, and anyone unfortunate enough to happen upon it will most likely put into the slave market that thrives there. Many entrances to the underdark exist all over Mylk, and many unlucky adventurers have accidentally wandered into the city, never to be seen again...

Pride of Feictear

On a small landmass in the northwest of Mylk, is a dense and dark jungle full of beasts and strange creatures. Within this jungle is the Pride of Feictear, a tribe comprised of the most skilled and dangerous hunters in the world. The tribe worships Cadlock, the god of the hunt, and believe in the survival of the fittest when it come to nature. Because their homeland is more hostile then most, they are not above sending raiding parties to plunder resources from their neighbors in Neos and the United Tribes. They especially are hostile to the tribes due to Cadlock’s own rivalry with his sibling Yaara.

The Returners

While many accept Mylk for what it is, and try and adapt to their new surroundings, some have decided that they would rather act and correct what they view is a cosmic wrong. The Returners are a group of displaced humanoids who have made it their mission not only to escape back to their own planes of origins, but to wipe Mylk from the Material Plane. They view Mylk as an abomination, and that it’s continued existence as a threat to the multiverse. They tend to employ morally questionable means to achieve their goals, and it is this “ends justify the means” mentality has caused many of Mylk’s leaders to view them as a threat to their nations. They will often deploy undercover agents to gather intel and resources as they are very untrusting of Mylk’ denizens who they view as “corrupted”

And thats all for now. There might be more added in the future, so stay tuned :3
