Since I know many of you are unaware of it's existence, NCECA is a national Ceramics convention that rotates cities each year. It is full of lectures from ceramic artists, art schools recruiting, supply vendors offering discounted tools and one of a kind pieces. One of the biggest things is the annual cup sale where artists donate cups to be sold, all one of a kind pieces, and for 22 days they are on display before the sale for you to gush and lust after. then the sale opens and it's every man for themselves. I was lucky to find one of the mugs I was looking at without too much of a hassle but it wouldn't be as funny to draw it without a huge exaggeration now would it?
