I think most of us have a story about a roommate that would find any excuse under the sun to avoid doing the dishes on their turn. Eventually you get tired of giving passive aggressive hints or even outright telling them and succumb to doing them yourself for the sake of your sanity.
Next time they ask to borrow your power strip...they'll see.
