One. Two. One. Two. One. Two. A steady, even, unhurried rhythm against the edge of the table of the corner booth of the burger joint on 56th and Darington. Strong, but delicate fingers drummed the easy rhythm, and a pale throat hummed a similarly uncomplex, slow melody. Violet eyes swept across the street through the wall of windows, looking for familiar face. No matter the shape that face might take.

Soothsayer leaned forward, stretched her spine out without missing a single beat. Nominally, she looked human. Pink hair, long and thick in curly waves, that she pulled into a ponytail to mask that the furry pink ears atop her head were just a headband. Narrow eye-brows (also pink) arched over violet eyes, set in a pale face of sharp angles. An upturned nose, high cheeks, and a strong jaw. Something about her face brought an akita to mind. Foxish. Sharp. Yet boxy. Framed with twin curls of pink hair. A pink heart hung from her left ear.

Reaching a break in the drums of the song she was humming, Sooth stretched her arms back behind her, pulled her shoulders back, tightening her mint green turtle-neck crop-top around her broad, flat chest. Truthfully, she was built like a small tank, all muscle. A fluffy pink tail wagged behind her, poking through a hole in the back of her jeans.

"You sure she's comin', Sooth?" the cashier called from the register, the akadri boy flashing a smile with too many teeth.

"Ey, Jed. I already told you she isn't late, I'm just early. Ain't you supposed to be working on my burgers?" she answered, grinning back. Her own teeth too sharp for a human mouth.

To a casual observer, all Miu would look like was a typical human. Young, fashionable, slightly distracted. Her angular frame was at least a little broader than her sire's, but it was still his willow that had won out over her dam's beef. Her hair was, depending on the light, a purplish silver or a greyish lavender. She kept it pulled back in a loose ponytail most of the time-- still, a few loose, wavy curls hung freely around her face. Her features might evoke a cat's to a casual observer-- between the high cheekbones, sharp angles, and piercing aqua eyes that saw entirely too much for comfort. Oh, and the teeth too sharp to be human.

She pushed open the door to the burger joint her sister had mentioned-- knowing her, probably was early and she'd kept her waiting despite arriving straight on the dot. She cast her eyes over the tables and booths and, yup. There she was. Time to slip in before Sooth could make a scene.

The bell jingled, and Sooth turned her attention from Jed with a grin. "Miu!" her hand shot in the air, waving to catch her attention--realizing a moment too late that Miu was already keenly aware of where she was. "Glad you could make it. I got fries for us, but you're on your own for picking a burger." she nudged her tray over, a pile of waffle fries that would terrify any human in quantity over between them. "Right on time, too, Jed was certain you'd be late."

And there was her sister, being her sister. Miu sighed internally, but it was fond. She slipped into the booth and delicately took some waffle fries for herself-- they were absolutely delicious, of course. As always. "You know I hate keeping people waiting." a laugh with a toothy grin. "Thanks for setting aside some time for me, sis. We really don't get to spend time together as much as I'd like."

"We really don't. It's always good to meet up again, so I can spoil my baby sis." Sooth grinned. "You'd think livin' in the same city would make meeting up easier. Anyways, go pick out your burger--I already told Jeb to put it on my tab--and when you get back we'll catch up. I really has been too long."
