Hybikian Basics: Skin, Magic, and Pairings

A bit of a visual follow up to the Hybikian Bio HERE for those who have/are adopting them. I know there was some confusion with what was what, so I thought I'd make a little diagram to clear it up. There may be some minor conflicting details in the written part that will be cleared up in the next few days. (as that was made separately from the species in which we are still sorting out details for)

The left is if it was a mother, the top is if it was a father. The color of skin flesh list matches to the mother side, and will help those who bought any in my first batch determine what type their Hybikian is. 90% of the time, the skin color determines the magic type, and that is based on the dominant element. So make sure to find a cannon match.

EXAMPLE: if your Hybikian's mother was a fire type, and father was a metal type... the child would posses no magical aptitude, however it would be able to naturally shape shift. Their blood color is more likely to be be in the blue (metal) range, however pink (fire) is rarely possible, only if one their grandparents had been a fire type on the metal father's side.
EXAMPLE 2: If your Hybikian's mother was a metal type, and father was a fire type they would be metal dominant as well, but would be unable to do mercurial shapeshifting.. they could only do adaptive. Which means that it would be in reflex to an environment, they would essentially stay the same shape.

Earth is by far the most dominant element, followed by metal, water, fire, then wind. Wind is the most few and far between much like the density of the states of matter. Metal is not exactly an element of magic, however they have an affinity for the sciences and use it to harness magics of their own through their body; typically in the form of electricity or sonic. Most Hybikans do have an aptitude for the sciences, and many will be able to use sonic or electricity with tech despite their element. Only children who had wind and metal parents can use electricity without tech.

Resistance and Weakness Magically:
-Air is resistant to Electricity, but vulnerable to Fire
-Earth is resistant to Acid, but vulnerable to Sonic
-Fire is resistant to Fire, but vulnerable to Cold
-Metal is resistant to Sonic, but vulnerable to Acid
-Water is resistant to Cold, but vulnerable to Electricity

Shape-shifting types:
-Adaptive Shape-shifting: no control over what they can turn into. They may get thicker coats in cold, or reflective skin in bright light.
-Moderate Shape-shift: Unless otherwise stated, all Hybikians posses this. They can change shape to whatever, just not volume. Even metal Hybikians can do this, their bodies are made similarly to non-tech nanites that work in conjunction as a whole entity.
-Super Shape-shift: Can expand outward to project themselves as large creatures. They can control their shape thoroughly.
-Extreme Shape-shifting: Can shrink (condense) themselves in and outward, and go through most shapes and areas with ease. They can almost fully disperse themselves into an environment.

Magic Types:
-No magic: Uses only tech to manipulate the word outside of themselves
-Minor magic: can only directly affect an area they are touching.
-Standard/moderate magic: Unless otherwise stated, they can affect what they are touching and a radius around them.
-Major Magic: Can manipulate their element from a distance even without contact.
-Superior Magic: Can manipulate their element and anything involved with their element from a large distance with training.

Uncommon magics:
-Ice magic: if a mother was water, and the father was wind, their child has a chance of using ice magic. It is still considered water dominant, however it can control the temp of water far more easily than straight water types.
-Mist Magic: If a mother was wind, and the father was water, the child has a chance at using mists. They typically can only disperse themselves and use it for hiding, however it can be used as a method of calm and healing. It is considered wind type even as a mist user.
-Lava Magic: Mother of fire, father of earth, the child can manipulate the temperature of earth. It is still classified as a earth type or fire, though it may look more like fire.
-Healing Magic: Able to directly revitalize cells and transfer magic to any type of Hybikian or creature. They typically are dominant to whatever type their mother was. They usually can only use healing magic, and can't use much of the dominant element. However, their weaknesses are to that of their dominant element.
-Mercurial: though this is not technically a magic type, it is more affected by it's surroundings than other types. It is considered by some to be a weakness, however they tend to be more resistant to weather and less maliciously affected by magic than other types. Direct fire is the only type they cannot directly tolerate.
Electricity Magic: Is generally still considered to be an aspect of wind, and wind is resistant to it. It poorly effects those of water. Natural electric elemental are wind dominant. However wind elemental cannot use electricity naturally. They have to have had a parent that was a metal dominant to use it without tech.
