I miss you. 

On August 24th, 3 days after my dear Hazelmutt and I celebrated 11 years of companionship, we had to say goodbye. A medical emergency had suddenly happened and I had to make the very hard call to do what was right for her and her overall health, and that was to humanely euthanize her so she would not suffer. Callee and I stayed by her side to her last breath, and well after because I didn't want to leave her side. She knew she was very loved and I believe in my heart that she was very glad to have us both there. I could babble forever about stories about my beloved mutt, but I am still very sore and am still healing. Nothing will ever fill that huge gaping hole in my heart that she filled.

I took one of my favourite songs and changed a few words to make it a little bit more fitting, but it fit already in so many ways. The song is "Who Knew" by P!nk. 

Rest in peace, my dear Hazelmutt. I love you so very much.
