William was your typical dorky student at Mountain valley college. He desperately longed to join the football team, spending his time conjuring up fantasies of leading his team to victory against the best football teams in the nation, to the deafening roar of a cheering crowd. He absolutely loved his school and dreamt of bringing it glory through his astounding accomplishments.

Alas, his body wasn't exactly football material. So instead, William changed course - to the school's band. If he couldn't play, then at the very least he could offer emotional support! Be a team player!

So, William threw himself into band, practicing every second he could. Every game, he was there by the sidelines, putting his heart into his music.

However, his first efforts were largely in vain. Mountain Valley was a small college, about as popular with football as he was. Their team was on a big losing streak, and school spirit was almost nonexistent. The school didn't even have a mascot - just the colors blue and gold.

William's mood was at an all-time low. To make things worse, the school was going to cut the football program entirely - along with the band!

The day after the announcement was made, William was sulkily blowing off steam by hiking in the nearby forest - where after losing the trail, he mistakenly stumbled into a cave where he clumsily awoke an ancient, powerful wolf spirit. The spirit, after learning of his plight, decided to help the school out by offering William a chance to truly give himself to his school - in the form of a magical magician's baton.

William readily accepted the chance and took the baton, transforming him into a blue and golden wolf - the perfect new mascot for the struggling school. With the wolf spirit's help, he donned his old band costume as a uniform and eagerly began his new role.

With the baton channeling the wolf spirit's powerful magic, William found that the band's music, under his leadership, could inspire even the lowliest of players to certain victory. It had a hypnotizing effect on all who listened; boosting their players, demoralizing their opponents, and captivating the now-adoring audiences.

With William serving as the mascot and leader of the band, the Mountain valley football team has taken America by storm, rapidly advancing to become one of the best teams in the country. The small college has grown equally rapidly, swelling under the new influx of students, attention, and more importantly, money!

The school spirit in Mountain Valley College has exploded - along with William's fame. Legends and myths quickly take root about his origin, seemingly forgetting his simple student past overnight. Not that William minds all that much, though - he's more popular than he ever was before, and the advertising and merchandising deals are cutting quite the lucrative paycheck!

However, things aren't completely peachy. The sudden surge in tourism in Mountain Valley has turned the once-quiet community into a bustling, vibrant college town.

The once-quiet nature trails have become filled with tourists, students, and developers looking to build the next supermarket or hotel - much to the wolf spirit's chagrin. William's powers - and the school itself - may be at stake. Can he manage to find a respectful balance between his school and the wild woods of nature?
