I sat down for a quiet evening, deciding to try my hand at knitting again. Only a few rows of knit stitches into the project I dropped the ball of yarn, and it rolled across the floor. I got up to get it, and when I reached down for it, something suddenly clicked. I felt an eagerness to play with the yarn ball, and a strange unsettling sensation. My ears, fingertips, and neckline all tingled strangely.

I felt my bunny slippers shred off my feet as strange claws formed. But that mattered not, as I had a ball of yarn to catch. I crouched back on all fours, ready to pounce on my target, my new tail sprouting from the base of my spine. One of my hands began to shift, forming paw pads as my fingers became stubbier and more toe like. I could feel the springing power growing in my hind paws, and I couldn't wait another moment. I leapt forward toward the yarn ball, my extended hand and forepaw grasping for it. I could feel my ears twitch in excitement, my nose tingling as I felt the same change spreading further. My clothes were becoming far too baggy, and I felt them slipping off mid-pounce. I would shake them off soon enough. All i would need to cover myself is the fur I could feel growing.

As I cornered the yarn ball, I could feel my face push out into a muzzle and small whiskers forcing their way out. My ears sat comfortably on top of my head, and my long hair was becoming short and scruffy as it merged in with the fur on my head. I narrowed my eyes as I concentrated on my target. It would not escape me any longer!

I had finally caught my prey and rolled it around playfully on top of the comfy clothing that I had left on the ground. I playfully teethed on the thing I was knitting, not caring if it unraveled at this point. I was a warm, fluffy little kitty that was enjoying her yarn ball, and that was all that mattered.
