When situations escalate too quickly to wait for reinforcements, the "Barracuda II" RDF is sent to the frontlines, their mission, to defend and hold off the attackers until reinforcements arrive. The pilots are selected only from volunteers due to the high probability of death of the missions.

In order to effectively hold off the attackers, the RDF is ready with J/C Engines, four .75 cal HMGs, AVD, Rocket Launcher Bay and Launch Rails.
