The "Emerald Jewel" is an older model of cruiser, dating back to the Second Meralis-Dectrose War. The Interdictor Cruiser prevents enemy units from warping away or activating hyperdrives.

During the Second Meralis-Dectrose War, the "Emerald Jewel" was credited for the destruction of many destroyers, frigates and even rival cruisers. The "Emerald Jewel"'s most famous appearance however, came at the final battle for Autotin, the Meralis Republic's new homeworld. During the battle, the "Emerald Jewel" activated it's interdictor gravity well generators and stopped the remaining MR forces from retreating, allowing the DE fleet to rip apart the MR space force, ending the war.
