Crocheted Clax - Adoptable Gryphon Sneak Peak! by HollyAnn

Crocheted Clax - Adoptable Gryphon Sneak Peak!

HollyAnn

So, here's a little sneak peak of what my crocheted gryphon adoptables will look like :) I made myself a Clax crocheted plushie, and since I'm not planning on selling this one, I felt it was the perfect model to show you guys what might be in store ;)

I'm planning on making adoptable crocheted gryphons, and the idea behind it is that I will ONLY show the eggs - the only hint that will be a give-away as to what your gryphon will look like, is that the egg colour will be the same colours that are in the gryphon (for example, if I had an egg for Clax, he would be a purple egg with darker purple spots).

Once an egg has been chosen, you will receive your gryphon. The thing is, you NEVER know what you're going to get! Meaning, your gryphon might have a mane...or it might not. It might have socks, or it might not. Maybe it'll be tiger striped? Or maybe a solid body. It could have a lion's tail, or a feline tail, or even a fox tail. It could be a common gryphon, or it could be a hippogryph. Or the super-rare sea gryphon. You just never know, it's a complete surprise! ;) Their photos will only be posted online after they've been sold and delivered safely to their new owners, so to keep the element of surprise ;)

In any case, I've got a number of gryphons made up, I still need to make the eggs. I *will* be posting the eggs over on FA, just to test out the waters and see how these guys sell. If they do well, I'll be offering these at conventions in 2013 :)

I'll be offering them for $35 each - that will include the gryphon, the polymer clay egg which will be made into a charm that the gryphon can wear around it's neck. I also plan on making little ear tags that will include information about that particular gryphon (almost in the style of Beanie Babies, but the name will be left blank so YOU can name them whatever you like!).

No two gryphons will ever look the same, they will ALL be unique in their own special way :)

Do you by any chance have a pattern available for this? It's so adorable! <3

No, I won't be having the pattern for it available, since I've been selling these little guys as adoptables ;)

If they ever seem to die out and no one wants to adopt them anymore, I might consider making a pattern for purchase, but at the moment, I don't have any plans for doing that ;)
