WARNING: GUILD WARS 2 SPOILERS! DON'T WANT, DON'T READ!

This is a story that I became inspired to write while I was playing my Guild Wars 2 mesmer Daemon Darkphantom. The inspiration in question is the Honorless Gladium storyline of the charr personal story, more specifically the parts that address Vallus' friendship with Sesric.

I always like stories that address friendship, and this one is no different. I was particularly drawn to it because Vallus' reaction when Sesric died was (or was supposed to be) intense. He basically loses his mind, and my mind started to connect some dots from the previous story missions. I won't give you my full interpretation of them because the purpose of this story is to remain ambiguous: I want people to feel free to interpret the relationship as I present it in their own way. Above all, the reader should have some freedom of imagination while engaged in a work of literature, and I tried my best to make that possible here while still attempting to communicate what I interpret as a very deep relationship.
