It wasn’t uncommon for Janine to be approached by guys. She has been wooed by classmates, friends and strangers alike. But it wasn’t uncommon for her to turn most of them down either.
Kerwin on the other was a gang member - A fresh new recruit. Despite what people thought about gang members, he was actually a decent young lad. his gang asks it’s members to wear red bandanas over their heads to distinguish themselves from others.
The two would meet in a coffee shop where they both frequented. Kerwin often just saw Janine there in lines or queues. They’d notice each other, just giving each other that friendly glance or a smile. They had been doing that for weeks and then weeks turned into months until Janine stoped seeing Kerwin in the coffee shop.
One day, Janine was in line again, and the barista said her drink was already paid for. She pointed to the person who bought the drink and it turned out to be Kerwin.
the meeting over coffee turned into a dinner date. which led to them hanging out with each other up to the point that they officially became bf and gf.
