Here's a close up of the mount i worked on. I seriously hate Game birds for the sheer fact that feathers love to fall out of these things so easily and they don't have enough under feathers. I had to do alot of repairs to this guys feet since the scales kept sliding off. sooo frustrating! that and this one had alot of pin feathers. Also the birds had been in the freezer for so long that the skin and feathers easily came off due to freezer burn. The feet were also dried out so we had to let them soak in the prepping solution for longer than what we needed just to re hydrate the feet enough for us to pose them.
