color study of Mar by hattonslayden

color study of Mar

hattonslayden

sorry that this is my only post for today but i need to get over my road blocks with color. so for the sake of my commissions and the next Daily doe (which features the return of Marcus and Delnala) so i started experimenting with how to skip the grey scale stage and go straight into color with the model lighting as just a guide. the problem is it ended up taking all day. i have a very specific color scheme for Mar of primarily blue and yellow.

Well, as a new commissionaire, I hope saying yes to coloring was a vote of confidence from someone who has recently been through most of your gallery. I like Mar's character, a bit like a more mature 'Den'

:D as with all my commissions once you are ready for payment i start my sketches. please tell me what you think of the color choices in this one, as i have red/green color blindness i cannot distinguish certain shades of red and green and therefor do not know if he is green or red or yellow

Yes, Friday night I will instigate payment, Paypal will debit my account within 24hrs and you'll get it anywhere between 48hrs to 8days after you get notice I paid you because Paypal is ever so weird about taking cash instead of credit on international exchanges. I'm hoping you've dealt with this before. I have tried keeping a fair balance in Paypal thinking it will be instant that way, but the wait for the exchange from one currency to another is about the same as taking the US equivalent amount directly from my account. It's just so weird the way they work. And Mar is blue and more yellowy-green than yellow. But the brightest 'yellow' swatch sample is very close yellow?

No green, maybe a pinkish blotch on what is a rather nice earthy dome?
