I did this picture three years ago for my boyfriend dharken, who just recently opened a Weasyl account, so I thought that it might be an appropriate time to upload it.
I really love underwear, especially briefs. A lot of people think that "tighty whities" are kind of uncool or geeky or something... But I actually think that on the right person they're very sexy, not to mention they're very comfy to lounge around in! Todd is one of the only other artists whom I saw regularly drawing his characters wearing them. I drew this before we became partners, but it's even more appropriate now.

Three years really have gone quickly, and so much has happened between the two of us in that time. I'm really happy for all we've shared and all that we'll continue to share. I think this piece is a nice commemoration of it, really. The first picture I did of our characters together was the "Brief Buddies" (which I still have to upload here), followed by this. It's interesting how the pictures became more intimate as we progressed unknowingly toward the events that would bring us together as boyfriends. Perhaps I should do a third in the series someday!

It's hard to believe it's been three years since you did this piece. I wonder if that qualifies it as a classic? Probably by the internet crowd's way of judging time. And you ought to know that I love that you did it in colored pencils though you do so well with digital coloring.
