I was trying my best to imitate the style of comic books from the 30s and 40s, such as using cross-hatching for shadows and referencing old characters such as the 40s comic book dog Rang-A-Tang to try and figure out how to draw a dog in old comic book style. It was really difficult trying to draw a character being illuminated by fire. While Parry has the power of light manipulation, Cyrus wears an amulet with the eye of the Egyptian sun God Ra which gives him the power of fire manipulation. Perhaps his day job is archeology or being a museum curator and is how he obtained the artifact. Since Cyrus is from the Golden Age of comics, could there be even more Sundog-type heroes from across the history of comic books?
