This is a meme I've been meaning to fill out for a looooooong time, and now I've finally gotten to it.

1. My own style- How my ferret character Basil normally looks.

2. 10-year-old style- I created Basil when I was in college, so he wasn't around when I was 10! I suppose that IF I had created him much earlier, I probably would have drawn him in the potato-shape style my guinea pig characters used to have.

3. Favorite art style- Cartoony style of course. There's tons of cartoon artists on the web that I admire. I chose Magrcon because he draws cartoon ferrets wonderfully. Others in the same category that inspire me include these people.

4. Style I hate- I'm starting to get kind of annoyed by artists that try to make everything look anime/manga style and then poorly execute it. The 700th issue of Spider-Man came to my mind, which is filled with very oddly drawn characters in a pseudo-manga style that was unappealing. Mary Jane Watson suffered the worst in this issue, being drawn with misaligned eyes, an overly large neck, and in some panels stretching or contorting her body in ways that look kind of painful, which were attributes I gave Basil here. Let me ask you, which looks sexier, THIS or THIS from SM700. I rest my case. I also looked up poorly drawn scenes from real anime such as Naruto and One Piece for inspiration as well.

5. Style of favorite childhood cartoon- Garfield, of course! I don't know how Jim Davis or his assistants would draw a ferret, so I gave it my best shot interpreting Basil into Garfield style.

6. Style of someone on the frontpage of fA- I saw this drawing http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11235668/ by :iconletipup: earlier today on the frontpage and decided to draw in that style.
