This was a sculpture I did for a character drawing class in school about a year ago. The class was supposed to sculpt Nala from the Lion King. I can't find the exact model sheet we used, but the pose looked similar to the top third image here. http://s202.beta.photobucket.com/user/looq_capture/media/Lion%20King/Model%20Sheets/nala-model-sheet.jpg.html It had a been a long time since I had taken figure modeling in school, so I was a bit rusty on sculpting.
Underneath this figure is some wiring shaped like a P with a ball of newspaper shreddings stuck in it. This became the foundation upon where the head would be built. The chest and shoulders lie on top of a layer of aluminum foil. I had to bake Nala in the oven for ten hours in order for the clay to harden. Currently, I keep this as a decoration on top of my clothes drawers.
