Sergal shock trooper

Gryphonious

It took me a bit, but I finally got the motivation while on leave to sculpt this one. I've always wanted to make a Sergal and decided to make an armed and armored Northerner and have her striking a pose.
It's title comes from I don't know where, I felt like making it souper speshul.
I decided to arms this Sergal with two swords because I thought that it would look cooler than if it had a more typical armament of some type of pole-arm. Its armor is also custom as I tried for something that looked to balance protection and range of motion while at the same time looking practical. The markings on the armor mean absolutely nothing but I wanted to give the flat surfaces something to liven up their design. I did not include the sword sheaths because I felt that it added nothing to it except unnecessary clutter, however I plan a follow up sculptures with her in different poses and different getups (note this will not be happening soon).
I went for a snarling sort of pose primarily because I forgot to make the armature open-mouth friendly, so I went for an intimidating growl feel. And it was difficult due thanks to their thicker lower lip and teeth focused in the rear of the jaw. And I think I made the cheese head a bit too large.

I sculpted this using super sculpey and a wire mesh armature, which i then painted with both an airbrush and manual brush. I attempted to photograph this thing a bit more "professionally" in a dark room with a black cloth back drop and two lamps. I think it came out meh and the white fur areas reflected the light too harshly.
