Windows to a Spotty Soul by Grym

Windows to a Spotty Soul

Grym

William, a two-year old African Serval, watches the world from the photographer's lap.

Regular FWA attendees might recognize William, since he's been to the con twice with the Conservators' Center as an ambassador for the charity (us!). Easily distinguished from his three brothers by his almost solid black nose, his penchant for particular laps, and his lean, tall build, William has now largely retired from traveling and instead shows off exclusively for visitors to the Center from his residence along the tour path.

Servals are very cute looking Felidae. Live long Prosper little Fella.

Yep, pretty darn adorable. Most of our visitors think they're baby cheetahs when they see them for the first time. ;-)

Yeah, if you only see the Head you can think so (specifically at this little Boy) but the relation of head to body to legs are much other than that of a cheetah (even at a Kitten). Btw.: as you maybe already know, there are (unlike the Acinonyx jubatus) also black versions of the Serval?

Yes, melanistic and leucistic, although I've only seen photos of both.
