I can see where people are coming from with comments critical about my intentions regarding TiNi. Since it is clear that TiNi being an ass here is giving people a bad impression of 'trans' representation without context... Just about all Nidokings are asses in this universe to fit with their canonically short temper. TiNi behaving like an ass here is just how TiNi is.  Beheeyem didn't make TiNi a jackass. TiNi's always been one. He's mellowed out over the years, but old habits die hard. You'll see an example of this in a sidecomic I have for Corrosion shortly before he joined the arena. However, showing him acting like an ass in his younger days or towards his wife didn't fit in the timeline of the main comic. How we see him treating Maggie is almost how he would treat her normally. The difference then is that he would've let things go after Maggie talks back. That's a canon Nidoking/Nidoqueen dynamic. Nidoking easily angered, Nidoqueen calms him down. TiNi acts like an ass, Pearl sets him straight even if TiNi bitches about nothing for five minutes straight. She's used to it.  Beheeyem's tampering may have affected this dynamic. Nidoking nature/behavior is mentioned in a couple of future pages; I'm addressing it now since knowing this won't affect the plot much.
