Tala is a Sioux Native American name. It means "Red Wolf".

She's a shapeshifting wolf, and her shapeshifting powers were bestowed upon her by birthright. She's highly territorial, and doesn't tolerate interlopers - no matter what their species is. Humans are no exception. She's a fearsome hunter, and legends among the local tribes speak of a dangerous, hulking black wolf with glowing red eye markings which will hunt you down if you're outside of the village at night...

I drew this for Vosska's new dA profile. I've always wanted to draw like this, but never had the balls to for fear of sucking.
