pre-order your copy of Bake Sale #1 today!

Not terribly inspired, but I did it in a bit over a day which is probably progress for me. As I already gave the image to the person who wants it printed I am making some effort to not look at it now, and potentially make myself wish to revise it further.

"Bake sale" is absurd, since nobody there bakes anything, much less an elegant latticed pie. They go to walmart and buy entenmann's doughnuts in a box and resell them individually which is not terribly legal.

Also, I fear since I have been in school I have utterly forgotten how to make dumb title puns. I considered "calorxy" and quickly stopped.

What's funny is that galactose is an actual molecule, it's half of lactose.

My scientific research for this scene stopped at looking at pictures of pies.

And they think they are fooling you

I would be a fool to NOT buy one doughnut for one dollar!
It is one [stupid] thing for children to sell bad chocolate bars for one dollar (or probably two these days) because they were told to and have no idea what they are raising money for but guilt adults into buying / selling to other adults on their behalf -- because they are children. People nearly my age should know it is ridiculous from both sides. This is not a business and they are essentially asking for donations. They are pretending!
Although I have also seen people about my age group "raising money" just by playing video games across a video feed which makes even less sense. When I was in second grade I could not make sense of the annual "Hop-a-Thon." Somebody pays money to someone else just because I hopped. Why is that on me? Hopping? It has nothing to do with me or hopping! I remember the first time that I hopped longest, but since I never signed up any sponsors nobody got any money. But even the people who had been sponsored were not entertaining their sponsors, who were absent; they were just hopping in the hallway while some weirdo timekeeper watched like I was. Fund-raising does not make sense!
