Miss You

graphiteforlunch

She was my sister's cat. When my sister was only two, this cat, only a kitten herself, chose her. They grew up together and Precious made herself a reputation. If a strange dog invaded the yard, she would attack it and chase from the property. Whenever we got a dog she would teach it cat-manners. She'd entice it to approach her, then chase it around the yard. She also learned how to turn on the radio, loudly, which she would do at 3 AM for the sheer joy of watching the household erupt in chaos. She was the kind of cat who was keenly aware of your emotions and would try to comfort you when you were sad. After about a decade, this kitty disappeared. It's been a couple of years since I last saw her, but I have never met another cat as intelligent, spunky, and full of personality as Precious Chosen. I miss you, Precious.

(Now that I live on my own and have the freedom to do so, I keep my pets inside for their safety.)
