Redemption by Graowf

Redemption

Filled, I am, with impulses
you would not understand
compulsions to behaviors
that draw me from the sand
that buries bones,
forgotten yearnings clawing
for my skull to join them in the tomb.

Three million suns have come and gone
and still the flesh
flashing blue bright as fire
splashing silver white as life
weaves, extrudes, fresh
a primordial mesh
caressing across time in the womb.

I lift my head through the earth
feeds me a mouth of dust
falls into my eyes blink
the placental membrane back
heave through the slick moan
and wail at the cold, pale moon,
yearn forward and burst forth
quivering slime from the gloom.

At last to rise and stand!
naked dry in the desert sun
landscape desolate from neglect
I wished upon the earth and
behold! the earth was born,
birthed me, died, and now I
an oasis carve to reclaim it from doom!

Putting some things here that I haven't put on Fur Affinity so there's a little variety ....

I don't know when I wrote this. Last year sometime, probably before November.
