Gordon's Armour - Guardian Series MK1 By Draekos

Gordon's MKI Series Guardian Armour is a bit of a mystery to most people who run across it. It is actually extremely old and has been carefully maintained in its original condition. It is also not intended for front-line combat use but is actually intended more for commanders; keeping mobility to a maximum while sacrificing some protection to do so in order for them to avoid incoming fire and move quickly in and out of vehicles and the million other jobs field commanders would have to do. Gordon has kept it as it has most suited his own needs in those realms and in other occupations he has found himself taking on.

The design itself is fairly primitive compared to what most creatures he meets are used to. Some myofibre muscle-assistance for carrying heavy loads, steel-ceramic composite plating proof against small arms and most low-yield energy weapons, it is resistant to but not proof against heavy weapons and explosives. The material on the underside of the gloves and in the joints is less rigid but tsill durable; a combination of nano-woven treated latex rubber, carbon fibre, steel mesh and Kevlar it is proof against shrapnel, cutting edges, electrical, biological, chemical and corrosive materials.

The small reactor on the back is capable of generating five hundred watts of power DC current to run suit systems, life support and charge capacitors on energy weapons and run communications equipment and on-board computers. The blue ring is actually a coolant ring and glows. The ring itself is fairly sturdy and can take small arms fire but can be covered on a temporary basis with a combination armour/heatsink arrangement if necessary. It is hot but not burning to the touch.

His helmet visor is specially hardened and shaped synthetic AlON with Saphire-based coating that gives it is blue twinge. A thermal-vision HUD can be brought up on the inside and the visor blacked out; thermal optics provided by the two small sensors above the brow.

The suite also features an integrated SCBA that will recharge from a purified local air supply if required. The SCBA only provides two hours of breathable atmosphere, though, but works in the same fashion as a re-breather in order to keep weight and size down while allowing as much operational time as possible.
