Fast, faster still I ran through the jungle, following the trail of blood. Faster than I ever could with packmates.

Then again, I never needed them, did I? I was special, unique. Able to hear the call of blood, smell it, taste it.

Even before it left the vein. 

Though it tasted so much better once it was spilled. 

My night of hunger was finally over.
