As more Reapers joined the fray, the fight quickly deteriorated into a kerfuffle of gunshots, energy projectiles, biotic and tech attacks and flying combat drones.
But in the end, the hard drills and excellent training of the two N7 operatives payed off.
One by one the Reaper units were picked off and in a final push, even the Banshee dissolved into a shriek and flying ashes.
Still down on one knee, Sascha, the Biotic Vanguard, finally released the finger from the trigger of his gun and smiled at his lynx parter.
"We did it, Sammy. They're toast" He exclaimed in his youthful voice, before he cleared his throat.
"Command, this is Spectre 1. Reaper thread cleared, objective accomplished. We'll move in to secure the facility."
With a big grin, the small feline appeared behind Sascha's back, resting his pawn on the bear hybrid leg. As a combat engineer he wasn't build for jumping directly into a fight but his support from the back ranks was invaluable.
"Meow!" was his only comment for the situation.
Well, that's Sammy for you. Never big on words.

Or maybe, just maybe that because he's a plushy :3 The bestest plushie in the world, if you ask a certainly lil crinkly bearkitty ... but a plushie.
But who needs realy words, when there's fantasy and play pretend ^_^

It doesn't fully fit the theme ... but as a huge Mass Effect fan I just love it.
I have this little tradition of getting a badge from the awesome dragonmirri every year ... and so far I loved every single one I got.
This year it's a little Mass Effect Fan. And yeah, with his age he probably shouldn't play this game yet. You can safely blame his stepfather for that, being a huge Mass Effect Nerd himself.
