May 17, 2014 is when the Preakness Stakes, the second jewel in the Triple Crown of American Thoroughbred Horse Racing, will be held. It is held in my hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

[For those not into horse racing, the Triple Crown consists of the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness Stakes, and the Belmont Stakes]

[UPDATE: California Chrome won the Preakness, and will attempt to win the Triple Crown at the Belmont Stakes.]

Lucinda may be 3/4ths Chincoteague Pony, but she has no issue with watching her fellow equines go all out for a million dollar purse on the Pimlico Race Course. But unlike those crazies that get all fancy at Churchill Downs in Louisville for the Derby, Lucinda keeps it simple when it comes to fashion for the race.

Don't know who she will be betting on, though. She won't tell until after the race is over.

Another beautiful piece by Spearfrost. With Lucinda being a transgendered woman, I wanted a clean piece for her.

As with most of the art I have gotten from Spearfrost, this was a wing-it. I gave her the character and told her to keep it clean. Spearfrost did the rest.
