October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And since 2011, I have commissioned a special piece of art each year around this time to promote it, in part because I have an aunt who is a breast cancer survivor.

For the first time, this year's art piece will not feature one of my characters. But that's not a bad thing. Let me explain.

Ghostwolf, who I have commissioned several times in the past, actually came to me and offered to draw this year's BCAM piece. The only condition was that I had to make a donation to the charity of my choice, in lieu of what he would usually charge for a commission of this quality. The group I chose was the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF.org).

Ghosty chose to use his own character Selenica for this project for two reasons. Not only is this to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but a special version will be feautured over on the Platinum Lady page on Furaffinity. That will be later in October.

And just like I dedicate this series of images in honor of my aunt, Ghosty dedicated this in honor of two of his family members. One is a survior, the other is at-risk. So this is person for both of us.

Like it says on the art before you, check for lumps, physical changes, and talk to you doctor. And guys, we males can get breast cancer to. No joke. If you feel something in your chest that's not right, GET TESTED!!!
