I took one of my sketches and decided to do a lot of experimentation. I realized the world of Ion Valley, while grounded in reality, didn't have enough of that "Disney" magic as you'd call it. I wanted to try another shot at nature and make something that felt like an enchanted forest. I tried a lot of new illustration techniques as well, borrowing nature references from Bill Watterson and forest inspirations from movies like Avatar. I decided to paint Arlo and Enzo up a bit more, abandoning the cartoon cell aesthetic. Also....color theory, bow howdy did I get a test in that. Hopefully I didn't go TOO psychedelic. XD

Here's Arlo and Enzo coming home from school. Arlo decided he wanted to take a different path home and show Enzo the new route. I wish my walk home from school looked this nice. :D
