I've mentioned this once before; Robert has a wife who works in the infirmary on base. Her name is Nicole. Both of them are border collies. She has a bare-bones M416, and during break she asked Robert how bullets operate when you pull the trigger. He goes on to tell her about the firing pin, the springs inside, the compounds that create the explosion, as well as any other details he remembers. She's following as best she can, but Robert jumps around a lot in conversation, creating some interesting start and end points with no bridges in between.
