Mud Puddle

FurryWrecker911

Started this one back in the Fall of last year wanting to get some practice in drawing dead trees. There is a lot more patience required when drawing individual branches, and then you need to go back in and color them, shade them, and then make them stand out from one another, but be able to blend at the same time.

As for the story behind this piece, the soldier is on a reconnaissance mission with his mate who is holding the camera when this photo was taken. Camera guy said to go around the puddle but our center-man here insisted on just hopping down and not being a wimp about it. Knowing what was going to come of it our cameraman said he wanted to get a shot of when he made his splashing discovery. Turns out the puddle isn't that deep. They trudge on through the cold dead woods.
