The first time I saw an Enderman, back in the 1.8 beta.. was under a cliff with a tree on it. The Enderman's texture was white from afar, hiding in the shadows. I screeched at my buddy about a stick figure being creepy.
A year later, and I hate the annoying thing. XD
--Note, back in 1.8, the endermands eyes were green and black smoke was rising from it.
