Consider this another entry in my International Incident series, where Byron bothers a famous cartoon character from another country. This is Sweden's Bamse, an ursine hero who fights for truth, justice, and the Ikea way with the help of a performance enhancing sweetener known as "Thunder Honey." He's kind of a role model in Sweden, but I question the wisdom of teaching kids to solve their problems with fictional steroids. Whatever, it works for Popeye. And Asterix. And the Gummi Bears. Who knew so many cartoon heroes were junkies?
