Yoshi (model 1) Autonomous Robot #057 263 (Σ), or just Sigma; is an early model of robot on the body of a Yoshi. Due to the limitations of technology at the time of construction, they are powered by an internal combustion engine located in the shell; which provides power the locomotion systems, as well as the onboard computer, consisting of arrays of miniaturized vacuum tubes in lieu of (at the time) prohibitively expensive, unreliable integrated circuits.

Originally part of a larger batch, most models of this type have either been lost, destroyed, or scrapped, making them a rare sight. This also means that spare parts are also hard to come by, as they share no compatible parts with later models, meaning long waits to locate them, or having to invest in custom built replacements.
