NOW WITH A SIDE VIEW (omg!)!

And now, we shall follow with a nice long, hearty description of everything and anything here.

Just Harry is an engineer who works at the AIRB labs in Edinburgh, Scotland. Here he helps his colleagues perform feats of incredible pseudoscience, experiment on strange and wonderful things, and occasionally make some money on the side by selling secrets to the North Korean Government.

He is quite shy in the presence of strangers, and tends to let others do the talking* for him. He is effectively mute because of his helmet restricting his speech (he can still try talking, but it just comes out as Pyrospeech, so he doesn't bother), which forces him to communicate primarily through body language and expressions. He never goes outside without his suit, due to anxiety.

The suit he wears can be separated into 4 parts: the Undersuit, the Hard Plate Components, the Backpack, and Helmet.

The Undersuit covers the entire body except for the face and has attachment points for the Hard Plates Components. It is made of a rubberized neoprene base for comfort and durability. Small tubular veins run through the inner layers of the suit to carry the working fluid of the liquid coolant loop, which helps regulate temperature. The coolant loop interfaces with the backpack, which contains the pump and radiator for the system.

The Hard Plate Components are a set of molded polymer plates that attach to each other and the attachment points of the undersuit. They are lightweight and shaped to allow maximum mobility while still covering as much area as possible with as few articulation points as possible. The Backpack mounts onto the connecter on the back of the torso.

The Backpack contains a large amount of equipment, including components of the coolant loop, an on-board computer, a large transceiver antenna, and the battery unit. The computer performs a number of tasks; from coolant flow control, to interpreting signals from the Helmet's BCI, and acting upon them. The transceiver allows the computer to maintain an Internet connection, intercept radio communications, and also flop around a lot. The battery powers all the equipment in the suit, and has a continuous usage battery life of about 3 days between charges. It's also a Lithium Ion battery, so it's very important that it doesn't get hot, or stabbed. In the event of the Backpack being removed, a backup cell (located on the Backpack's mounting plate) can provide power to systems for 4 hours. However the coolant loop will only be able to cool passively; which is bad in hot places.

The Helmet is a helmet. It covers Just Harry's head. It has a screen on the front that projects a number of different expressions. The screen is controlled by a non-invasive BCI that wraps around the inside of the helmet. It can both receive and send signals from the brain, which are processed by the Backpack computer, In the event of the backpack not being present, a small microcontroller takes over, which much reduced functionality. Breathing is accomplished through a pair of vents on the front of the face, these have a particle-grade filter covering them; but they cannot filter gases or aerosols.

*(no pun intended)

Also included here are a pair of his favorite things:

The Gentle Persuader is a sledgehammer with it's name written on the head. The shaft is made of high-quality, hand carved Scots pine. The head and pummel are made of Tungsten Carbide with a core of Low-Carbon Steel to increase shock resistance. Why does he like it so much? Because in engineering, you would be very surprised how many problems can be fixed by percussive maintenance.

The X-01 HVMA Gun is an experimental weapon that he made for shits and giggles. It is very large (that image is to scale) and it fires really big bullets, very fast. It also engulfs said bullets in an envelope of plasma, because overkill is fun. It can fire without a shell, which will fire a corona of plasma (at far shorter range). It is powered by a cable linking to his backpack. Each shot consumes 15% of his battery. The question is, would YOU use something with so many warning labels on it?

====UPGRADES!=====

  • New lightweight components have reduced his weight by 14 kilograms.

  • The radio antena on the backpack is now retractable! Not that it'll be put away often, it's so fun having it flop around.

  • New tactile sensors can relay touch information through the BCI.

  • Installed software file TRNCHPN.VRF

  • Now introducing 4 new flavours of Neutriant Juice! (Tropical Punch, Sizzling Steak, The Taste of Mysterious Mystery Gas, and Unknown Ailen Food Goop)

====Frequently Asked Questions====

Q: How does he eat?

A: By unscrewing one of the filters and sticking a straw from a nutrient juice carton through the hole. It come in over 30 flavours!

Q: Why does Harry always wear that thing!?

A: He has a really, really strong separation anxiety with it. Like, if you try to take it away, he will fucking murder you. With that sledgehammer.

Q: Is he crazy?

A: Most likely. Last time someone took him to a professional about it, he had to escape a psych institution.

Q: How does he go to the toilet?

A: Ugh... Like any other man, he goes into the bathroom, unzips, and that's that. One of the boons of a liquid-only diet is no poop.
