EXPERIMENT:

Community submitted experiment; titled "Advancement of Inflation Sciences on Biological Entities (ISOBE)"

RESEARCHERS:

Dr. John P. Taylor (Project Lead)

Mr. Just A. W. Harry (Preparation and Handling, Troubleshooting)

Dr. Morgan F. Richards (Preparation and Handling)

Klivord (test subject)

RESULTS

After procuring a sample of "Mysterious Unlabeled Mystery Gas"(1) from the basement, the test subject was connected via oxygen-grade pipe. Initially there was little noticeable effect, likely due to the valve being faulty, allowing only a small release of gas. The problem was resolved by Just Harry, who managed to empty the entire contents of the cylinder using his sledgehammer (causing substantial ice buildup on both the tank, and striking surface of the hammer due to the sharp drop in pressure).

The test subject showed an 800% increase in effective volume, although no no harmful effects manifested, as one would expect when having 48kg of high-pressure gas inside you.(2)

NOTES:

(1) This was actually written on a small label near the base of the canister, although it doesn't have any other identifying characteristics.

(2) We are unsure if this is due to any effects of the gas, further testing may be required.

OTHER NOTES

Test subject was kept in inflated state for 30 minutes with no ill effect, although it is noted that their eyes heavily dilated, weather this is an effect of the gas is unknown.

Once released, the test subject requested 3 canisters of the gas, this was granted, as we have no room in the basement among the hundreds of these things.

Do not make Harry angry when he has his hammer.

Our first user-submitted experiment, featuring Klivord as our test subject.

I'm fairly sure that this counts as a double-blind test, since no-one knows what the hell the gas is.
