This is technically still a work in progress (it's my next portrait for the Colour Pallet Challenge - the colour pallet obviously still missing), but I like it enough to upload it on it's own already. And I think these sepia tones actually suit him better than any of the pallets I will have to choose from, so the piece might already have eached its peak. ;D

This is Anatoly Sergievsky (from Chess the musical), passive-aggressive Russian chess world champion. One thing I like about musical characters is that you have the freedom to draw them pretty much however you want, because the actors switch and change around anyway.
Josh Groban’s Anatoly is the base for “my” Anatoly, but I aged him a little and changed a couple of things to my liking. c:
