One night in a random studio, Jaz woke up on a table with no memories other than the sounds of various pianos which mostly consisted of classical music to jazz, while still plugged into the wall his eyes were giving him enhanced night vision which helped him get to the door before he felt a snag on his tail only to find out that his tail was what was plugged in.

He no longer had enhanced night vision when he got unplugged so he couldn't see but fortunately he was able to adjust to the darkness and promptly left the studio after taking a single guitar pick and a hoodie from an office.

He became a drifter between various towns and few cities by which point he saved enough money to buy himself an instrument that felt right to him, a piano. He quickly learned that he can play almost any song he hears and can think of so he quickly got to work on writing different songs and practically grew his following overnight which was a financial success for him since he could then afford to pay for a place.

After multiple interviews on radio stations on how he came to be everyone figured he must've changed from a keyboard into a person but nobody knows why and scientists are puzzled as well.
