Brian was sure he was getting looks at this point, his family had told him in the past that the general public wasn’t used to seeing someone like him.

It’s something one never gets used to, seeing someone with a disability such as blindness. Brian was blind, and had been since he was eleven.

It was an accident, though Brian’s parents refused to believe it. The driver was drunk and on his phone and Brian was coming home from school. The people who found him at the scene said he flew up the hood and had hit the windshield with his face.

Now, though, Brian was walking unimpeded, despite the bizarre looks he was unaware of. For he had his seeing eye crab, and Herbert did his job swimmingly, though he would occasionally take swipes at gawkers. For he wasn’t just a seeing eye crab, but also a great and loyal companion to Brian.
