Crystalline pillars and spikes litter the ground, the soft glint of powder snow sifting slowly towards the ground in a fine cloud. Only a moment ago, the air whipped around brutally, lashing dry, cold air around the mountain. But... The very instant he-- That man-- that thing, came into view... The air died. And yet, an even colder stillness fell upon the world. As though time itself were frozen into a loop, the Kirin's mere presence had immobilized his contract mark. Only two sounds remained to break this stillness-- The soft crunch of Armin's footsteps upon fresh snow, needles of ice appearing as though sprouting from the ground itself with each step-- And the slow, desperate gasps for air from his target.

"... Funny." Armin mutters, approaching the man whom he was charged to kill. "You thought the cold wilderness-- The frozen place you call home-- Could save you from me.." He continues, gently pressing his hand against the wolf's chest. A pained whine and a violent shiver follows, as ice crystallizes like a rampant thicket around the man's chest, drawing blood and freezing it all at the same time. Armin's hand glides up to grasp the wolf's neck, opening his eyes to reveal his bright amber eyes.

"I'm not merely accustomed to the cold. I, am Winter Incarnate. And you made a very, very wrong move."
