Brazilian rainbow boa themed naga.
It has that feel. While looking back over these it is taken all of my restraint to not go back over a lot of older pieces and refine them even more with all the things I have leveled up on. They aren't bad pieces, I just feel I could rework them to be even better. But Time is something I do not have.
However, if I do re-do a few pieces, this one is top of my list.
While I can see things in this piece that could be 'worked out', either to define or detail, I think this is really nice as it is. Sometimes some of your more 'raw' (or at least not as seemingly painstakingly detailed and defined) paintings sort of speak to me more. Maybe it's a grunge feel? Ugh, It's really hard to describe what I feel here. I guess I feel like they have more 'texture' than others...? I don't know if I'm making sense any more. :P
In short, it's freaking beautiful- even in it's 'flaws.'
I guess it's the same reason why I said it could be really amazing art for the MTG cards. It reminds me of Rebecca Guay's artwork- or at least in the way her artwork made me feel -that sort of vivid and flowing but still kind of 'gritty' and 'textured'. I guess someone would have to crawl around in my brain to understand exactly what I mean, but I assure you it's all meant to be complementary! I certainly admire your work!

I just realized how amazing your artwork would be on "Magic: The Gathering" cards... <3
