This is something I've been mulling over for a good couple of years now. The civet character I've been using as a stand-in for my own actual real-life self (on the rare occasion I need to do that) ever since 2004 was always kind of a placeholder, something I created on a whim in response to a drawing prompt. At the time I picked the species because I had only recently found out about them and wanted to draw a little more attention to them.

But if you were to put a gun to my head and ask me "If you were any animal, what animal would you be?" I'd probably have to say "rabbit". Among other reasons, I have weirdly long and skinny feet in real life, I don't talk much (anymore), I have more nervous energy than most people my age that actually drink coffee... but the turning point was when I was at the store with my dad and I caught myself stamping my foot to get his attention. 😐

So the heck with it. It's the Year of the Rabbit now. If this doesn't work out, I can say it was just a phase and move on.
